Just as each petal unfolds in a different fashion, your journey will be unique.

Peony • Compassion
The peony flower represents compassion. Use this flower to approach your story with kindness and understanding. Allow this flower to also serve as a reminder: you are not alone in the aftermath of trauma.

Marigold • Remembrance
The marigold flower represents remembrance. Use this flower to honor your story and sit with what happened. Mourn the past version of yourself before the trauma, as well as the future version you thought you’d be without it.

Gladiolus • Strength
The gladiolus flower represents strength. You are powerful. This flower is about regaining your strength in the aftermath of trauma. It is possible to grow beyond this season. Let this flower empower you to keep going.

The dahlia flower represents creativity. This flower encourages you to use creative outlets to tell your story. Let this flower give you the freedom to feel your emotions and craft them into different forms.

The anemone flower represents protection. You decide who and what feels safe. This flower gives you permission to protect yourself. You are in control. Let this flower help you determine your own definition of safety.

The lily flower represents rebirth and new beginnings. You are allowed to redefine yourself. Your trauma is not your identity. Let this flower also be a reminder that you can wilt and bloom as often as you need to.

The daffodil flower represents hope and joy. Use this flower to focus on the future. It is possible to feel happy again. This flower is an opportunity to refresh your energy and believe that beautiful things can still bloom in your life.
Our Mission
Just Listen Journey is dedicated to helping survivors of sexual violence transform their trauma through writing, floral arrangements, and interior design. We aim to cultivate creativity and support survivors through seasons of healing.
Our Values
Our Story
Just Listen Journey was first envisioned by Jasmin Lankford in July 2019. In the aftermath of reoccurring sexual violence, she felt isolated. Jasmin used therapy, poetry, flowers, and interior design to begin her personal healing journey.
The poetry served as a place on the page to reflect and release her past. The floral design was a reminder of the power in her palms. The interior design helped her curate a safe space in her home, which led to the start of reclaiming safety in her body.
As Jasmin continued her healing process, she expanded these three elements into a program to support other survivors. Just Listen Journey formally became an LLC in December 2023 and launched April 24, 2024.
Our Founder
Jasmin Lankford is a survivor of sexual violence and domestic abuse. She is a social media marketing specialist and travel video host from Florida. Jasmin is also a poet, essayist, and teaching artist. In addition to Pushcart Prize and Sundress Publications’ Best of the Net nominations, her work has been published online, in print, and in gallery exhibitions. Her latest essay was published at The Rumpus.
Jasmin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Florida. She completed her Creative Writing Minor in France at the American University of Paris. Currently, she is completing Floral Design and Interior Design studies at the New York Institute of Art and Design. Jasmin works in marketing and travel at AAA - The Auto Club Group. She founded Just Listen Journey in 2023.
